The HIGHER INSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONALISM AND EXCELLENCE (HIPTEX) holds the adage that ‘STUDY WITHOUT PLAYING MAKES JACK A DULL BOY’.
This is why the school administration, in collaboration with the student union, organized sporting activities, which ended with a grand gala night at NIKITA HOTEL Mbemassi Yaounde.
Activities started at 8 a.m. with a general walk of the administration, staff, and students to the Mbargong-Simbock field. At the field, activities started with 100 metres boys and girls for both HND and DEGREE students, wherein we had three winners from both the HND and DEGREE Classes, for both boys and Girls. Next was handball girls, wherein the HND students played against the Degree students. At the end of the day, the HND students worn the Degree students with 5 are to 3 goals. It was an interesting one as the lady of the match came out from the HND Class, in the name of BOH Prudence.
The crock of the matter for that day was football match. The kick off was down by the Directress of Academics & Finance (DAF), Mme MEKONGTSO Charlotte, there play lasted for closed to one and a half hour, and the Degree students worn the HND students by 3 goals is to 1.
Second part of the occasion was a galla night at Nikita Hotel located at Carrefour Mbemassi, that stated by 8pm. The activities here started with presentation and installation of student union for 2021, fashion parade, competition and crowning of Mr & Mrs HIPTEX. There was also prize award ceremony as some group of students went home with a cash prize of 50.000frs.
